Radiance Awards - Call For Nominations

The Radiance Awards are the highest individual honors presented by the IIDA North Florida Chapter. These awards recognize professionals who demonstrate outstanding design excellence, leadership, advocacy, and service to the North Florida design community.

Nominations are submitted through a public portal and are open to the design community and general public.

Eligibility

Nominees must:

• Be actively working in the North Florida design community
• Work in a design-related professional role (designer or industry partners)
• Meet the experience criteria of the selected category
• Be nominated in one category only

IIDA membership is not required unless specified by the category.

Who May Nominate

• Nominations are open to the public
• Colleagues, clients, peers, supervisors, educators, and partners may nominate
• Self-nominations are not permitted
• Each nominee must receive at least two independent nominations to appear on the final ballot
• Duplicate submissions from the same nominator count as one nomination

Award Categories

Designer of the Year

Interior designer with 5+ years of experience demonstrating sustained design excellence, leadership, and impact on the profession.

Industry Champion

Vendor or industry professional recognized for exceptional collaboration, leadership, and service to the design community.

Emerging Professional

Interior designer with less than 5 years of experience showing strong early achievement and leadership potential.Designer of the Year

Nomination Form Requirements

Each nomination must include the following information:

Nominee Information

Name, organization, title, professional email, years of experience, and selected category

Letter of Recommendation (300–750 words)

A clear explanation of how the nominee meets the award criteria, including specific examples of achievements and impact

Supporting Highlights (optional)

Key accomplishments, leadership roles, or community contributions

**Incomplete nominations may not be reviewed.

Evaluation Process

Qualified nominees are reviewed by the Illuminate Design Awards jury panel using category-specific criteria. Finalists may be contacted for verification. Jury decisions are final.

Recognition

Winners are honored at the Illuminate Design Awards Gala — May 15, 2026 and may be featured in chapter communications and promotional materials.

All submissions must be truthful and professional. False or misleading information may result in disqualification.

Submitting a nomination does not guarantee finalist placement. The awards committee reserves the right to withhold an award if standards are not met.
